What a delightful afternoon we spent at The Assumption of Our Lady Torquay yesterday for our fourth annual ‘Rise to Our Cause’ event to celebrate Ascension Day.
After a wonderful holy mass by Fr Simon, we enjoyed a gorgeous two course hot lunch prepared by Joanna and Andrea which was followed by a really interesting presentation from John and Myfanwy Quine who travelled all the way down from the Peak District.
This year’s raffle was amazing and in total, we raised a fantastic £563. Thank you to Andrea, Joanna, Fr Simon, Sister Benignus and all the parishioners who made us feel so welcome and thanks to those who travelled from across the Diocese to join us.
