DONATE

Your donation will enable us to continue supporting vulnerable children and their families living in our Diocese. You can make a one-off donation or can set up a regular donation and if you are able to Gift Aid your donation, this means that we will receive even more money to help those in the greatest of need.

Join our 50:50 club

Would you like to join our 50:50 club – Helping Hands ? Half of the money raised by subscriptions each month is retained by us and the other half is returned to members as prize money. For example, if we had £200 in subscriptions one month, £100 would be used to help a child in need and the other half would be distributed as prize money eg £50 for 1st prize, £30 for 2nd and £20 for 3rd. It costs £12 a year for one entry into all 12 draws and you can enter each draw more than once so £24 for two entries, £36 for three and so on.  Please click here to complete the application form to become a member of our Helping Hands club.

Annual Appeal

Over the Bank Holiday weekend every August, we hold our biggest fundraiser event of the year – our Annual Appeal. We ask our parishioners to support our annual appeal – the 2024 theme being ‘Believe, Love, Share – Transforming Lives’. In 2023, our ‘Creating Hope for Families – Changing Lives’ raised just under £19,500 and in 2022, our ‘Extend a Hand : Give Hope’ annual appeal raised just over £14,500.

Crib appeal and cribfest

Each year many of our parishes very kindly donate their Crib Offering to support the work we do in helping families, which enables us to provide vital support for vulnerable children and their families. We are determined to be there for families in their time of need and we know many parishioners are keen to help. We would be extremely grateful for any donation you are able to make and will ensure this goes directly towards supporting local families in need.

Thank you for helping disadvantaged children and families this Christmas.

Leave a gift in your will

Our work with vulnerable children is only possible thanks to the generosity of all our supporters, especially those who remember the Catholic Children’s Society (Plymouth) in their will. By leaving a gift in your will, you can go on making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families long into the future. We have teamed up with Tozers Solicitors, who have three offices in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth as they have a long history of being legal advisers to the CCSP and to the Diocese of Plymouth.

Corporate and major gifts

We accept corporate and major gifts as well as individual personal and parish/school donations. Giving a major gift is one of the most effective ways to support our work and all donations will have a huge impact. If you would like some more information on making a corporate or major gift, please email our Fundraiser & Communications Officer by clicking here.

Fundraising and events

We hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year including our Great Big Diocesan Quiz where teams from across the Diocese compete for the title of overall Diocesan Quiz Champion. We also hold an Ascension Day fundraiser each year where we travel around the Diocese to meet as many of our loyal supporters as possible. And for the last two years, we have held a Crowdfunder Prize Draw where we raffle off some really great prizes to help raise much needed funds.

Volunteer and help us

We are looking for Parish Volunteers to help with our fundraising throughout the Diocese. Fundraising from our parishes is a major source of our annual income and there is a direct correlation between the amounts raised by parishes depending on whether they have active CCSP supporters or not. Some parishes have just one Parish Volunteer, but many have a small group of volunteers to share the responsibility and make it more enjoyable, and there are some parishes who don’t have anyone at all.

Buy Christmas cards

We ran two ‘Design a Christmas Card’ competitions in conjunction with the Catholic primary schools in the Diocese, which resulted in the most beautiful packs of Christmas cards being available for you to purchase.
Guided by the Gospel, CCSP works to help children and their families in their moment of need, when life has become even tougher than normal and the light at the end of the tunnel is dim. Working together with the Catholic Children’s Society (Plymouth), the Catholic community can reach out a hand and in doing so share God’s love.
