Back in March, we received £14,000 of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. We are delighted to confirm that in just six months, this funding has now been used to help purchase 152 items through our Essential Grants programme, supporting 56 families which included 127 children.
We were surprised at how many beds we purchased for children who were either sleeping on the floor or sharing a bed with a sibling or even their parent/carer ! It’s hard to imagine not having a proper bed to sleep on and having to go to school not feeling well rested to learn.
