A huge thank you to Kevin Foster and his team for awarding CCSP another grant of £500 in their final round of donations from the Foster’s Fund. Pictured right are Andrea Rodgers our Acting Chair and Vicki Dunstone, our Fundraiser and Communications Officer receiving a cheque from Kevin.
Foster’s Fund was based on a pledge Kevin made when he was first elected to Parliament in 2015 when he opposed the 10% pay rise proposed for MPs at the time. Despite his objections, the pay rise was approved and Kevin then pledged to donate the additional money to charities instead.
Over the last 9 years, his pledge has seen over £60,000 donated to local charities working in Torbay via the Foster’s Fund.
This money will be used to help support the most vulnerable families living in Torbay through our Essential Grants programme. If you know of a family who need help, perhaps to purchase a child’s bed or school uniform or even a new washing machine or fridge/freezer, please click here.
