Congratulations to ‘Not So Deadly’ from St Mary’s in Poole who were crowned this year’s Overall Great Big Diocesan Quiz winners back on Friday, 9 May 2025. They scored an amazing 93.5 out of a possible 130 marks. Pictured here are 4 of the 6 team members – Ann, Tina, Pete and Fred who received their trophy from Fr Phil Carroll.
In joint second place were Positive Thinkers from the Assumption Of Our Lady in Torquay and Beatee and The Beast from Holy Family in Bournemouth who scored 92 so it was very close indeed.
Thank you to all 9 parishes who took part on the night and collectively helped to raise almost £1,400 for CCSP !! Special thanks to all quizmasters, parish secretaries, everyone involved in making this happen and to all the teams who entered. Your support means so much to us. Here’s to next year now and we promise to make the questions a little easier !!
Thank you also to St Joseph’s in Newton Abbot who organised their own quiz night at the beginning of June and raised a fantastic £500 for CCSP. A lovely evening was had by all and it is wonderful to know that we are very much in their thoughts and our presence is very obvious in the parish.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and the wonderful food on the night and especially to our Parish Volunteer Kate for pulling the evening together.
