Recently, we visited the lovely Knit n Natter ladies of Holy Family Parish in Exmouth as they had seen our plea earlier in the year for knitted and crocheted baby items. We have begun to send out small parcels to families who apply for an Essential Grant as they are really struggling to make ends meet. We receive the most lovely feedback from these families and the referees who support them with their applications.
Ever since then, the Knit n Natter ladies have been busy and have managed to make a huge number of blankets, cardigans, hats, booties and mittens in all shapes, colours and sizes. Vicki, our Fundraiser, Communications and Essential Grants Officer gave a brief presentation on the work of CCSP and answered lots of questions before receiving the wonderful array of beautiful items. She then presented the members with a thank you certificate, which they were delighted to attach to the notice board in the hall.
